Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Jordan Craft (“we”, “us”) for using Footprint (footprint-pm.com). By creating an account or using Footprint, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your login.
  • If you create a workspace for a company or group, you're confirming you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and you're responsible for the people you invite.

Your content

Everything you put into Footprint stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy, display and process it only as needed to run the service for you and the people you share it with. You can export or delete it at any time. Our privacy policy explains how we handle it.

You're responsible for your content and for having the right to upload it.

Acceptable use

Please don't use Footprint to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyrights and privacy;
  • store or share malware, or material that is abusive, harassing or sexually exploits anyone;
  • send spam or bulk unwanted messages through invites or notifications;
  • try to get into accounts, workspaces or systems that aren't yours, or test our security without permission;
  • overload, disrupt, scrape or reverse engineer the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Price

Footprint is free right now. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you in advance, and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan.

The service

Footprint is a small, independently run service that is still growing. We work to keep it running and backed up, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change or be removed. Keep your own copy of anything important (Settings → Workspace has an export).

Footprint is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about Footprint is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You agree to cover us for claims brought by others because of your content or your breaking these terms.

Ending things

You can stop using Footprint and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop running the service; unless it's urgent or illegal content, we'll give you notice and time to export your data first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for big changes we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. Keeping on using Footprint after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, and any dispute goes to the courts there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
